Over the weekend we moved into our brand new office and we are excited to share some photos with you. We are now located at 221 Carlaw Avenue, Unit 202, just east of our old office.

We decided to make the move to a newer building that would also allow us to better accommodate one-on-one and client meetings. So far, we are extremely pleased with our new neighbourhood and can’t wait to explore more.

Along with our awesome new office we have an amazing co-working space and private boardrooms. Not to mention a rooftop patio that we can’t wait to take advantage of during the warmer months.

We have to admit that finding and purchasing an office was more work than we had ever expected and there is no such thing as being overly prepared. If you are considering purchasing an office, here are some things you should take into consideration.

Have a Good Real Estate Agent

Looking for a new office space is a job in itself. We found that having a real estate agent assist us really helped. It allowed us to to still focus on meeting deadlines for our clients. Be Patient and Stay Organized

There are a lot of steps that go into finding and purchasing a new office space, so be patient and stay organized! Unfortunately, nothing ever goes the way it should. Chances are there will be a number of different parties involved, including your financial institution and lawyer. Ensure that all parties are well connected so that they can contact one another if there is a task to be completed.

Do a Thorough Inspection

When you do find a space that you would like to call your own, make sure that you do a thorough inspection of the space. Ensure that everything is in working order, make a list and talk to the right people to ensure that all items on your list are fixed before you move in!

After two months of searching, countless phone calls and paper work, we are so happy to have finally found a new space to call our own. Not to mention we are within walking to distance to one of our favourite restaurants in the city, Hey Meatball.
